![]() Would you please tell me if 6.08.06 + configure is supported on 10.11. I know that configure is deprecated now, but when I teach students how to start using ROOT, I often tell them two different ways: configure and CMake for an educational purpose. ![]() This is a linker problem, and this error does not appear when CMake is used. I do not understand why the command line tools is the reason of this compile error. configureĬlang++ -dynamiclib -single_module -Wl,-dead_strip_dylibs -install_name -O2 -DNDEBUG -m64 -mmacosx-version-min=10.11 -stdlib=libc++ -o lib/libXMLParser.so io/xmlparser/src/TDOMParser.o io/xmlparser/src/TSAXParser.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLAttr.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLDocument.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLNode.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLParser.o io/xmlparser/src/G_XMLParser.o -ldl -Llib -lCore -L/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/atform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.12.sdk/usr/lib -lxml2 -lz -lpthread -licucore -lm I have the same issue with ROOT 6.08.06 on 10.11.6 (El Capitan) only when configure and make are used. The latest Xcode you can install on OS X 10.11.6 is Xcode8 (version 8.2.1). Downloaded the Xcode 8 installation package from the App. I don’t know if there are way to overcome this. Wanted to offer Xcode 8 (requires OS X 10.11.5 or later) to our user population via Self Service. The built plugin will be compatible for all version of Indesign(which supports the sdk that you used) installed on all any MAC.Hi, after updating to Xcode 8 under Mac OS 10.11.6, I had problem compiling root 6.06.08:Ĭlang++ -dynamiclib -single_module -Wl,-dead_strip_dylibs -install_name /usr/local/root/lib/root/libXMLParser.so -O2 -DNDEBUG -m64 -mmacosx-version-min=10.11 -stdlib=libc++ -o lib/libXMLParser.so io/xmlparser/src/TDOMParser.o io/xmlparser/src/TSAXParser.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLAttr.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLDocument.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLNode.o io/xmlparser/src/TXMLParser.o io/xmlparser/src/G_XMLParser.o -ldl -Llib -lCore -L/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/atform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.12.sdk/usr/lib -lxml2 -lz -lpthread -licucore -lm To keep it simple get hold of the InDesign SDK that you need to use, pick up a MAC with OS compatible with Xcode 5.0.2 and build a sample plugin shipped with the sdk. The plugin thus built can be loaded on the compatible InDesign versions installed on any version of MAC OS. Find an OS that is compatible with this version of Xcode(OS X 10.10 is the latest that runs this Xcode fine), and use the correct version of InDesign SDK to build it. Same is the case for MAC, you need to use Xcode 5.0.2 for the dev. So i can build a plugin on say an XP machine and it loads fine on Win7, Win8 as long as i use the recommended dev env. Try to load it in InDesign 11 on your MAC and let me know what you observe.īasically you don't need to be on the latest OS to build plugins that can be loaded on it and OS versions below it. ![]() I have built the BasicDialog plugin using the InDesign's 11.0 SDK, the download URL for the same is as follows Target OS X 10.9 (highest version listed) Under Windows compiled Plugins (with VS 2013) load successfully. I don't have such an issue under Win7 Pro. I used Xcode 5.0.2 as recommended in the help files. InDesign finds the plugin but shows the well-known 'Startup Alert' message box: not a valid plu g in (translated).Īre files missing? Wrong directory? Additional directories or symlinks missing? Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe InDesign CC 2015/Plug-Ins/ However, I manually copied the generated plug-file (~50KB) along the 'packagefolder' ( from release_cocoa64) and all files from prj/build/*.* to the plugin directory: ![]() "/bin/bash^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory" Unfortunately, every time there is a 'shell script invocation error' in copyResources.sh reporting: I was able to successfully compile and build a release圆4 of several SDK samples on OS X 10.11. ![]()
