They are blessings from God and each has significance as we remember Christ’s first coming and yearn for His return. These attributes sustain us and help us through the hard times and enable us to thrive even then. I chose to base this study on the four candles of Advent, exploring the Bible for verses and stories that highlight each incredible Christian attribute celebrated in Advent: HOPE, FAITH, JOY, PEACE. What a spectacular, incredible occurrence! Let’s think deeply and gratefully about Jesus and His birth together this month! God Himself wrapped in flesh, and come to live among us, feeling cold and hurt and rejection as well as all the joys of living on this still-beautiful but fallen planet.
